The Under 13s side recorded their first win, at home against Leatherhead on Sunday. After a sleepless night (just like Alex Ferguson), one of the coaches, Phil Bradley, was seen pacing nervously up and down as Long Ditton took to the field, with a chance coming off the first ball, but soon wickets soon started to tumble. A solid batting display saw Long Ditton overhaul Leatherhead’s total, with even a few overs to spare.
