LDCC had a good weekend, finally being able to get a full set of games going, after the wet start to the season. The Saturday First XI convincingly beat Old Tenisonians at home on Saturday, whilst the Second Xi travelled to Windsor, playing in the shadown of the famous castle. The 2nd XI came up a very strong batting side, but in reply, the 2nd XI battled valiantly to earn a very creditable draw. Tommy Daniels and William Bradley batted extremely well, with captain Tom Rogers and Mark Lambert digging into make sure Long Ditton survived in a very long game (so long Mark even missed his evening meal from Margaret, although this was made up for on Sunday).
The Sunday First XI lost in a good game against away against Spencer First XI, with Michael Hall hitting a magnificent century and the Sunday Second XI convincingly beat Chudleigh Ale at home. Click on the Play cricket link and then the results tab to see the scorecards for all the games.
