The National Cricket Playing Survey – NEW
|
Not only is England retaining the Ashes hugely important, so is ensuring the growth of cricket in cities, towns and villages in every County.
In the inaugural National Cricket Playing Survey, in partnership with the England & Wales Cricket Board (ECB), Surrey Cricket Board and Surrey County Cricket Club want to understand the nation’s cricket-playing habits.
Have your say on how you want your cricket to be played and influence the future of your cricket. Complete the survey and have the chance to win one of ten pairs of tickets to the Investec Test Series against India in 2014.

Asset Transfer Seminar for Clubs – NEW
|
|

This seminar will provide you with the information and guidance you need to help you decide if Community Asset Transfer is the right choice for your Club.
|
|
Looking at both the legal and practical information, the seminar will help you assess your club’s capacity to take on community assets and the implications of doing so.
The seminar shall be held on Mon, 22 July at Leatherhead. Click here to book your place.

Summer Courses – 8-12 year olds
|
The aim of these courses is to attract children into playing regular cricket and to develop fundamental movement skills. They also aim to expand specific skills, develop technique and tactical awareness through skill drills and games-play.
The group will be split internally into age groups (8-12 year olds) and ability by the coaches running the course.

Surrey Cricket Board will be running Coach Education Courses across the County. Details are being finalised at the moment and information shall be posted online & in the “Cricket in Surrey Update” emails when known.

The courses will commence from around September onwards.
|

County Assessments U10-U16s
|
Clubs and Schools can now submit nominations of players they wish to be considered for selection into a 2014 winter-training squad.
This year’s U-10s to U-16s can be nominated (i.e. U-11s to U-17s in the 2014 season). Players currently involved in CAG or District Cricket need not be nominated, as District and CAG coaches will put them forward in either Phase 1 or Phase 2 Assessments.
Deadline for submission of nominations is Friday, 9th August.

It is with great pleasure we cordially invite you and/or your Company/Club/Society to take part in our annual golf day on Fri, 20th September to help raise funds for the Development of Cricket in Surrey.
The day will take place at The Drift Golf Club in East Horsley and offers an ideal opportunity to network with business clients, key staff, sporting celebrities & members from Surrey Cricket Board (SCB).
The teams will consist of four players in a Stableford Team competition with an individual prize
