On a perfect weekend of cricketing weather, the Saturday First XI won away at Old Tenisonians, whilst the Seconds, missing a few second team players who had made the step up to the firsts, were soundly beaten by Old Tenisonians at home.
On Sunday, Ben Cheema posted a century at home in a loss against Chiswick and Latymer, who always post an almost impossible score, with keeper Steve Williams making an amazing 4 stumpings in the game.
The Sunday First XI beat Leatherhead, with Matt Baker taking 6 wickets and James Mumford making 84, passing 4000 runs for LDCC and captain Tom Bennett reaching 50 in one of the highest scoring opening partnerships the club has seen for a long time. Club veteran Mark Lambert made his 250th appearance for Long Ditton (and probably had his 250th tea cooked by Margaret in the evening).
