The Saturday First XI had yet another day of cricket lost to bad weather at the weekend. Batting first on a green wicket at Newdigate, two quick wickets were lost with just 14 runs on the board, before the heavens opened yet again this summer, leading to the match being abandoned.
The Saturday Second XI had a weekend off, which was a good thing too, as there was no cricket at Stokes Field, as much of the ground resembled how it normally is in January, with standing water on various parts of the pitch.
Fingers crossed for this weekend.
