The Club Secretary received a letter from the Director of Surrey Cricket Development in January, informing the club that Long Ditton CC has been elevated to Focus Club level. This is on top of the Clubmark award achieved in September 2008. This means that Long Ditton is one of only 45 clubs in the county to have reached this level and should mean that we get even further assistance and benefits from Surrey Cricket. It is a credit to everyone involved in the running of the club that we have reached this level and can build even further on this during the 2010 season.
