Bradley hits 101 not out against Battersea Ironside
Will Bradley’s 101 not out against Battersea Ironside was the highlight of the weekend, which saw the First XI lose away at Ham and Petersham, the Second XI win by 15 runs against Battersea ad Ironside and the Sunday XI comprehensively beating St. Mary’s Church on a glorious sunny day at Stokes Field.

Winning weekend in close games
The Saturday 2nd XI got LDCC’s League season off to a winning start, travelling to Effingham CC, with a superb 15 run victory. The 1st XI’s home game was called off. with the ground still unplayable. The Sunday XI travelled to the picturesque ground of Hampton Hill, edging home by just 4 runs!
Senior matches OFF on 2018 on Saturday, 21st April & Sunday 22nd April
Sadly Long Ditton’s first senior matches of the 2018 season this weekend have had to be called off. After weeks of rain the ground is not yet ready for senior cricket. With a good weather forecast for the next week hopefully Stokes Field will see its first cricket of 2018 next weekend.

Saturday games rained off, Sunday XI lose in run chase thriller
Not surprisngly given the monsoon rain on Saturday, both games for the senior XIs were abandoned. The Sunday XI were narrowly defeated by an agonising 9 runs. Highlights: T Leaning 3-36 with the ball and Cheema 89 with the ball.
