Stuart Hinchcliffe has very kindly taken over from John Horgan as Treasurer of the Club. Stuart will be working with John in the next couple of months to ensure a smooth handover. Frances Rogers will be Colts Secretary, with other committee members remaining the same. Les Bond very kindly proposed Mark Lambert to be be an Hon. Life Member, which was passed. Mark reported that he had met with Surrey Cricket during the week and Long Ditton had been invited to be a Focus Club. There are only 43 of these in the county, which is great news for Long Ditton. Senior nets will commence after Christmas. More details will appear here around New Year. To all LDCC Members: Happy Christmas and have a great New Year!

Congratulations to Tom Rogers, who plays in the Under 15’s, and Dave Oldham, who found time to get off the roller, on passing their Level One Umpires Course. Tom and Dave gave up their weekend at the end of October, to attend a 2 day training course in Reigate, followed by the exam a few weeks later. The Umpires Kit will be available at the club for the 2010 season – makes some interesting reading!
