There were good results and performances over the Bank Holiday weekend, with the two Saturday senior teams winning. Congratulations to Joe, who has been called up to train with the U9s Surrey District Squad, which everyone in the club is delighted about. Older brother Guy is now taking wickets and making runs in the U11s, so they are just two out of many of the talented junior cricketers the club has.
Both Saturday sides were involved in tight matches at the weekend. The 1st XI won by 18 runs against Shepperton, when it looked like Sheppeton would walk it. On a glorious Bank Holiday morning, LDCC’s U15s beat Hampton Wick Royals convincingly, with some great batting, bowling and fielding taking place to win by 86 runs.
